From the Abundance

  I've been having a lot of conversations about love and relationships lately, some in therapy with clients, some with friends, and some with the Father. I realized that over the past 12 years I've had to relearn everything I thought I knew about love.  It really started when my dad passed away, and the Lord whispered John 15:13 (Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.), in my spirit, letting me know that his death was a necessity because of His love for certain other members of our family.  To clarify, let me provide a little context.  My Father was the glue that held his family together, and what God showed me was that some of them wouldn't surrender while he was here, holding everyone and everything together.  The second incident happened when I told my family that I was moving to Florida, and my granny broke down.  She went into a fit of righteous anger, pleading, crying, and telling me that God didn't tell...

When I moved to Florida I moved here with the knowledge that I was called to this area and region.  When I gave God my yes I told Him I would go wherever He sent me, so here I am. A lot of people freak out at the thought of packing up and leaving everything behind.  The thing is, it's different when you leave everything behind to follow Jesus. I can't say that this journey has been difficult physically, but emotionally it hasn't been the easiest.  I miss my family and friends, I miss the things that I associate with home, and I miss that sense of knowing that comes with being in your comfort zone.
