From the Abundance

Like millions of other people I've belted out the words to Amazing Grace hundreds of times, but I gained a whole new understanding of the song once I truly experienced the grace of God for myself.   God being the gentleman He is, didn't stop there.  He escorted me on to the next level of glory and revelation.  There's a line in the song that says.  "I once was lost but now I'm found. Was blind but now I see" I thought about that blindness and how I was in the dark and deceived about so many things.  In case you're confused let me lead you over to 2 Corinthians 4:4, "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. So here we are in week two of spring and it still feels like the winter..well Don't panic!!  We're just getting started.  Every end marks a new beginning and with every new beginning there is a transition phase...   Well now the seasons all kind of run together but there's still a transition.  We don't go to bed in winter and wake up in summer... Let's look at this a little bit... In winter everything is dead, lying dormant, or hibernating.  The trees are bare, the animals are mostly in hiding, the grass is frozen, crunchy and covered with snow, and there aren't many birds singing songs of praise... but underneath allll that, there's life! What appears to be dead is really just going through a transition... the bare trees are producing buds, the hibernating animals are sleeping and burning off added layers of fat, the birds are down south for the winter, the ants are eating stored up food and digging tunnels underground, and the flowers are tak...

It's been a  while since I've sat down to write anything, let alone blog.  I think I went through a season where I couldn't really outwardly or verbally express what I was thinking or feeling so I didn't write and definitely didn't say a whole lot.  But that ends here and now.  My Pastor challenged us not to return to a place called The Revolution Mark 16:20 and I accept that challenge.  Part of my purpose in creating this blog was to do just what Mark 16:20 says, so everywhere and preach.  So I've been neglecting my duties.  Now that I've gotten some things back in order it's time to move forward.  I can't promise that this blog is going to be like my others but it will be truthful and relevant.  Titus 2 (American King James Version) reads as follows:  But speak you the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
