Luke 12:48 tells us that to whom much is given much is also required. I just wanted to take a minute to tell myself as well as remind you, that much is required of us. No matter our titles, positions, accolades, posts, education, training, posture, works, or level of faith, God is requiring more.
God blesses us to be a blessing to others. I don't know about you but I am beyond blessed. I have the full function of all my limbs, I'm in my right mind, I have everything I need, I''m forgiven, I've been redeemed, I have joy & peace, I feel safe, and I serve a God that truly understands every part of my being. I know a lot of people get upset or angry with God when bad things happen and say how could such a loving God allow this, or how would a God who heals allow so much pain, etc.
If you look at all that Jesus went through to take away our sins, to allow us that gift of healing and eternal life our light suffering is nothing. Could you imagine the weight of every sin that every person throughout time would ever commit? That alone is crushing, not to mention the beatings, the hairs being plucked, a crown of thorns smashed into your skull, a spear through the side, having nails forced through your hands and feet and being forced to hold yourself up on a cross.. in front of a crowd...all while being innocent....
A lot of times we go through things very publicly. If you're in ministry, your life is pretty much on display for the masses, but it's part of the call. Just like Jesus died on the cross for us, the things we go through publicly, and even privately, are for others. The things we conquer, overcome, and make it through build our character, give us strength, and help us shepherd someone else through the journey we just made. It may not be now, or two weeks from now, but keep living and everything you've experienced will come full circle. At some point you'll be able to use everything you've experienced to bless someone else. Revelation 12:11 tells us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. If we never share it we can't overcome, or help others.
This doesn't just apply to testimonies though, let's broaden the scope and look at what it really means. Every gift, talent, anointing, calling, and victory is actually for someone else. Someone else is waiting on you to make it, someone is waiting on you to get saved so you can minister the Gospel to them. Somebody is waiting to see you walk out a Godly lifestyle so they'll know that their old life doesn't disqualify them or their past mistakes doesn't discount their anointing. Somebody needs to know that even though we may struggle sometimes, we're still in the race. Somebody is watching your journey and drawing strength from your press, being encouraged by your tenacity, and isn't giving up because they see you keep moving forward.
There's a person thinking about going back to school who is worried about how they'll manage it all... then they see a single mom of 5 working full time and going to school keep a Dean's list gpa the whole time. There's an introvert wanting to jump into business for themselves but really isn't sure how to manage the people... then they see the quiet one making major moves as an entrepreneur and building a forceful team. Someone is great at crafting and creating with their hands but thinks no one will buy their stuff... then they see a DJ domestic thuggin and crocheting while spinning, building an empire one little homie at a time. er There's a minister who's struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts, feelings of inferiority, church hurt, and the opinions of others that hasn't given up their love for God but can't take that step back into ministry.... and they see you, freeing others with your transparency, getting healthy, seeking counseling. There's a single person holding out for that Godly mate, refusing to settle or compromise and watching you maintain your standards until God sends your spouse gives them accountability and the will to remain pure.
Everything we do, every tear shed, every success, every failure, every learning experience is for someone else... We never know what strength we lend to others just by being authentic in our walk and doing the will of God. So today, I Encourage you to look around you and congratulate the victors and conquerors around you.
